The Perfect Oven Roasted Potatoes

This Recipe for Roasted Potatoes is appetizing and full of flavor. Two things hold true for us. There is no doubt that this is the best roasted potato recipe out there, and I suggest you try it tonight. They are the perfectly crispy, delicious and savory side dish for any meal or just a meal on itself. If you are like me, someone who loves potatoes any way prepared, you will have the whole bowl in front of you.

Potatoes are a such a stapler for our family’s menu. And, for that reason I have to come up with different ideas and new ways to prepare them every time. This recipe is my favorite.

Here are some tips to make sure your batch comes out perfectly. 


  • Pick potatoes that are right in the middle of the waxy-starchy spectrum
  • Use Yukon Gold
  • Fingerling Potatoes
  • Red Skin

For oven roasting you need this kind of potatoes. Leaving the skin on the potatoes helps to heat quickly and evenly and the centers stay creamy, tender and never mushy.

Season well. I like to use the traditional herbs such as rosemary, thyme and parsley. However, for this recipe I use I nice blend of seasoning that makes them so delicious.

This Oven Roasted Potatoes couldn’t be easier to make and for something so easy they are so heavenly delicious and satisfying. This little morsels will let you lick your fingers and forget about any other recipe. You will get addicted to this enticing bits of goodness.

You Need:

Per Potatoes2 lb.
Saltto taste
Black Pepper to taste
Onion Powder1/2 tsp.
Garlic Powder 1/2 tsp.
Paprika 1/2 tsp.
Fresh Rosemary for garnish
Fresh Parsleyfor garnish
Olive Oil1/4 cup


Preheat oven to 425°. Cut the potatoes into bite sized cubes. You can peel them or leave the skin on. If you don’t peel them, make sure you wash and scrub them well.

In a large bowl, toss potatoes, oil and season with salt, pepper, onion, garlic powder and paprika. Pour into a 9”-x-13” baking dish.

Bake until potatoes are golden and fork tender, 35 to 40 minutes.
