I consider these Mediterranean fried meatballs or also known as Keufta a happy food. They look fun and eating them always makes me happy. Some people like to throw tomato sauce over their meatballs. Some like to enjoy them with spaghetti. I like to pour a cold glass of beer, fry some French fries, cut a quick salad and enjoy. Of course we all know, fried food is not the healthiest food, that’s why I sometimes prepare oven baked meatballs or grilled meatballs. No matter how you like to eat them, fried meatballs are one of the best comfort foods out there.

Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Coat each meatball well in flour. When the oil is hot (350 degrees F), begin adding the meatballs in batches, making sure the pan is not overcrowded. Fry until golden brown on each side ( 10-15 min.).
